Homecoming
Hayley has finally come back home! The family and I went to the air port yesterday morning to greet her thinking there would be some media and only the athletes families, but oh were we wrong. The place was packed!! It also didn't help that they held the athletes back from entering until all the other flights had been cleared from the baggage and customs area which meant we ended up waiting for 2 extra hours. We could see them all waiting to be ushered through the exit the whole time. The media got so jammed into the walkway that it only left about 10ft for the athletes to walk before they all go bombarded by cameras. Absolutely ridiculous! The first athletes to come out where all the medal winners and then near the back of the line we saw Hayley! We were all so happy to have her back, I had totally forgotten what it felt like to have someone closer to my age in the house. So we are now a complete family unit again...at lest for another week. Brian leaves soon for the States again on business and then Rosanna will follow very soon after to be with Hannah and Oliver. So me and Hayley will be playing mum and dad for a while. Since I work at nights Hayley will have to make dinner during the week...please pray for us!

Hey Sarah
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog thing whilst looking at Hannah's. So, how is it all going....is Kiri still alive? Are you surviving Hayley's cooking? You look gorgeous on your photo bytheway. How is the training going? I have been doing sprint laps and focusing on upper body strength in the gym...I feel good, but i'm not going to break any records...Kiri will still be able to beat me!!!
Have fun!
Sarah
